We come out, measure, look at the slope and the drainage, and talk through composite versus cedar. No pressure, no sales script.

Composite or cedar, flashed and footed for forty inches of rain a year, permitted by us, priced in writing. Call 425-667-1123.
We build decks in the town we live in. Lake Stevens lots climb from the shoreline, the inland ground is glacial till that holds water, and it rains about forty inches a year. So every deck we build gets a flashed ledger, real footings and drainage before it gets a single board. Then you pick composite or cedar, and we quote both.
Design, permit, footings, framing, boards, rail and lights: one crew, one written price.

Holes dug to frost depth and below the soft till, concrete piers, post bases off the ground. The part you never see is the part that keeps a deck level in year ten.

Pressure-treated joists, a ledger bolted to the house and flashed so water runs out, not in. Rot starts at the ledger; ours is sealed before the boards go on.

Composite or cedar laid with hidden fasteners, the railing you chose, stair lights wired low-voltage. Then we walk it with you and the inspector.

You get a written quote for the deck you described, both materials priced if you want them, with what is and is not included.
If your deck needs a Lake Stevens or county permit, we draw it, submit it and deal with the review comments.
Footings, framing, flashing, boards, rail, lights. A typical deck is on site about a week once the permit is in hand.
Final inspection, a walk around the deck with you, and plain instructions on how to look after cedar or composite.
Yes if the deck is 200 sq ft or more, 30 inches or more above grade at any point, attached to the house, or serves the required exit door (City of Lake Stevens Deck Tip Sheet, 2021 IRC). We handle the drawings and the permit.
Composite costs more up front and needs no staining; cedar costs less and needs sealing every year or two in our climate. We build both and will quote both.
Yes. Much of Lake Stevens rises from the shoreline; decks there need engineered footings and drainage, which we plan for.
